Dr. Brittany Weiss has been an esteemed member of Sycamore Veterinary Hospital since 2015, joining as our Medical Director with a passion and commitment that traces back to her earliest childhood dreams of becoming a veterinarian.
She graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in 2007 and spent her summer breaks working as a veterinary technician in various hospitals, laying the groundwork for her future career. Dr. Weiss earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University in 2012, completing her clinical year at Cornell University.
A respected member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Weiss is also a certified Fear Free professional. She has a passion for providing a safe and welcoming environment for both patients and clients alike. Known for her calm demeanor, Dr. Weiss ensures every patient is put at ease and leads her team with a hands-on approach to maintain an uncompromising standard of care. She cherishes the close-knit, supportive community at Sycamore Veterinary Hospital and is grateful for the dedication of her team.
In addition to her role at Sycamore, she serves on the Medical Advisory Board for a network of over 150 hospitals and is actively involved in student mentorship programs, frequently hosting veterinary students for internships. Her professional interests include surgery, dentistry, and building meaningful connections with patients and their owners.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, boating, and spending quality time with her husband Matt, their son Lucas, and daughter Savanna. An expert crafter and baker with a penchant for woodworking, she is also known for crafting exceptional margaritas that rival those found on tropical islands (at least, according to our practice manager). Dr. Weiss shares her home with her two cats, Captain and Whiskey, and her two standard poodles, Rio and Emmy.
